Default 8310 OS Update for AT&T

Please Login to Remove!

Does anyone know when AT&T will have the new 4.5 OS to download??

It's available now, as it was released by other carriers.

Yes, after everyone else has already released it. FYI - There is no advantage to waiting for ATT to release it. You can download and install the released OS from any other carrier, so long as you follow the instructions posted with the link.

We answer this just about every day. The answer is always the same:

1. Carriers do not announce OS updates. If you're antsy for the latest OS for your model then monitor the latest OS threads stickied at the top of this forum.

2. There's no reason to wait for your carrier to release an OS update. RIM produces the OS's for all carriers. An 8310 is an 8310. You can load any carrier's 8310 OS. You can't load an 8300, 8320 or 8330 OS. The model number must be identical.
