Okay so I just upgraded from and 8830 to a 8330 on Verizon. Using the desktop software i copied most of my apps and info over to my 8330. But now one of my email accounts message icon always shows a new message after I have open all the messages.

I have reset, done batter pulls, looked into the various folders, and yes I have used the search button, sometimes before my 20 seconds had expired.

Any help in clearing my "new message" icon.

howzabout removing the account and recreating it? hhmmm...

deleted service books and resent, worked great, then I hid the icon anyway ;)

ps im a tool!

try resending the service books. And also try looking in you messages folder and look all the way at the bottum. More than likely its a activation message. I had the same exact issue once I got my replacement blackberry.
