Angry 8330 os wont update

Please Login to Remove!

So I downloaded the new os and desktop manager does not find it. I deleted the vendor xml file so thats not the problem. I have deleted and reinstalled the desktop manager and the os and still no luck. I even tried some of the betas that I tried and no luck. I can sync just fine I just cant seem to get any os on my phone. I also wiped the handheld and pulled the battery a couple of different times. What gives. I tried searching and most everyone solves their problem by deleting the venor file, restarting or simply unplugging the usb but for me nothing works. Please help.

Did you download the correct OS for your device? You can't download just any one. If you have an 8330 you'll need the OS for an 8330.

When you connect your phone to your computer after verifying one more time the vendor.xml file is deleted, click on Application Loader and start the process.

There isn't really many other things that could be wrong other than:

1. You don't have the right OS file.
2. You didn't delete the vendor.xml file.

Anyone else feel free to add to that list above.

Have you tried a different version of the Desktop Manager? I have yet to use the 4.5 version. I am still using whatever version T-Mobile has up for download on their website.

yeah i went back to 4.3 and same thing so i went back to 4.5 and still nothing.

Please look in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\shared

What directories do you see

Please look in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader

Is vendor.xml there?
