he is tmobile, so you should give him the tmobile release. if hes going back to first OS, its for a good reason, considering his making his device worse if you think about it. Every os update the device gets faster and less problems. Grant it that 4.5 still has some bugs that some people deal with, not me of course, the boot time is faster, no memory leaks, much better browsing/call quality. too much to give up.

His request was for the original AT&T OS that came with his BB. Check the thread title. I wondered the same thing but he did ask for AT&T.

T-Mobile does not offer a download for the 8310...

If he has a Curve (8310) from AT&T, the original software is in the link that I provided above. Just be sure to remove the VENDOR.XML file and let it rip.

If you are trying to restore to the OS that was on it stick with AT&T. But remember the OS is released by RIM so the carrier is really meaningless. I would try to find out why the newer OS is failing. 4.5.0.52 works rather well for me on my AT&T 8310 Curve. Sounds like the OS is not the problem if you are getting these errors when loading them. Hopefully one of the late night pros will be on soon to answer your question. My bet is it will have to do with a Wipe w/ JLComander to get a fresh load but I will leave that advise to the experienced pros.

Here is the link to wiping w/ JL_Cmdr but I would suggest you get some veteran advise on this as I am newer to this and have not done a wipe myself.

Before you jump to trying to load the OS that was delivered on your 8310 -- what exactly are the problems that you're having? Which version were you trying to load? Have you referred to the thread for the OS that you're trying to load to see if others have the same issue and possibly a solution?

I don't understand a thing you're saying. OP has an at&t 8310 and requested the OS that came with it. TMO doesn't make an 8310 and doesn't have an OS for it.

As for 4.5 on the 8310 -- I don't have any of those problems with 4.5.0.55.

This is the OS that came with my AT&T 8310 (noted it before upgrading to the so-far-better 4.5):

4.22.170
