Default Need help with ATT Video Camera Upgrade

Please Login to Remove!

I might have missed something but am unsure. I downloaded the 4.5 software to my computer, then deleted the vendor file. Then going into the Desktop Manager, there was no upgrade available. When I just downloaded the 4.5, I just did the English one without the Roxio...

Thanks for all your help

Sounds like you downloaded and installed Desktop Manager 4.5. You need to download the OS for your device. That wasn't it.

It's not a bad thing... you're good with DM 4.5, but also need the OS now.
FYI - You also need a media card to get the video working after the upgrade.

Your profile indicates you have the 8330 from ATT, but ATT does not sell that model.

Check options>about and see what your model is.

Yeah, I downloaded the Desktop Manager 4.5. Opps. I'm new to this upgrading software stuff. I do have a media card so I'm good with that. Can I use that link with the 8310?.

thanks for your help.

Negative. The OS MUST match your model.

Use this link; http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

You might want to update the model number in your profile as well. Many of us will check that and base our advice on it.

Be sure to use the 8310 link, not the first one for the 8330 I had posted initially.

FYI - Firmware does not equal OS. They are different. Your firmware cannot currently be modified by you. The OS can.

When the download completes, execute it, and it will install the OS on your desktop. Be sure to follow the instructions in the thread, making sure to delete the vendor.xml file.

Once that installation is complete, you'll reboot and the next time you run desktop manager with your device connected to the USB port, you should be prompted to upgrade your device's OS.
