Default Gmail App not staying signed in (and other weird behaviour)

Please Login to Remove!

So my Gmail app worked flawlessly about a week ago, but in the last few days (since I upgraded to 4.5) i noticed that when search and generally use Gmail app, it freaks out. Search tells me that the network is unavailable, and often boots me out and says "Your password () was incorrect"
I uninstalled it and re-installed the google pack (which incidentally will add google sync which google would NOT let me download separately...) but similar behavior remains..
Anyone else notice this. Anyone know is theres anything i can do? Should I delete gmail app - turn off BB - pull battery then try re-installing?

I had all sorts of problems with 4.5 so I rolled back to 4.2.

Have you recently enabled "Always use https" under the Gmail web interface?

If so also enable it under the settings on the application on your phone.

Regards,

Noel
