Hi,

I have an 8310 and sometimes when I go to unlock the device each button I press on the keyboard causes 2 asterixs to appear in the password box. This makes it impossible to enter the password, so if I leave it for awhile and come back it starts working. I don't think its a physical keypad error, as when I got to the enter "Blackberry" to continue, the "L" button caused an L and a G to appear.

Has anyone any suggestions ? I do have replacement blackberries here, but I'd rather resolve this issue

I've occasionally found that when I enter my pswd, it says wrong password and then I notice either caps lock or num lock was on. I press shift, try again and bingo. That's certainly not a double letter situation tho.

nope afraid its not caps lock or the shift key. I'm hoping its just a software issue, however i didn't upgrade to the newest firmware and the problem is still occurring.
