Default Verizon Curve- WIFI?

Please Login to Remove!

I have been reading about the Curve and its WIFI. I just ordered one from Verizon. The rep told me that it does not have WIFI that he is aware of. Can anybody help me out here? Does it or doesnt? I ordered it anyways, I guess its not a deal breaker for me. But Id like to know.

Wish me luck, I am upgrading from a 7250- anybody think I will notice a difference?

Josh

The Verizon Curve (8330) does NOT have WiFi.
The only Curve with WiFi is the 8320. (from T-Mobile in the US, and other GSM carriers worldwide.)

Thats a bummer. I guess I cant be too disappointed. I got it new (with 2yr contract) for $99. If it had WIFI, it probably would have been too expensive for me anyways (Im cheap).

Thanks-
Josh

Hi, There are 3rd party sites where you can get the T-Mobile Curve for free with a 2 year plan. It becomes free after getting back the available rebates offered.
I don't like going through 3rd parties, but it can be done. I am not listing any 3rd party sites here as I do not think it is allowed within the Forums.
Thanks!!

Got 8320 last week from letstalk.com FREE up front - PLUS $100 mail in rebate. Sorry if I'm violating TOS. Got last three phones through 3rd parties (also Amazon). Makes absolutely no difference between ordering online from carrier.

Wow,
Guess these are questions I should have asked before ordering.

Doesn't really help the OP since he's on Verizon though...

Definitely do your research before any purchase. Blackberry.com would have clearly answered the WiFi question for you as all current models are on the site with full specs and even a handy side-by-side comparison tool.

I'm sorry bout that. But yes, the 8320 is the curve with WiFi. About noticing the difference... YEAH, you'll notice!

Added service area, great for inside buildings with weak/no signals. I use it for free calls home from international destinations. Faster downloading, etc.
