Default My phone won't turn on!

Please Login to Remove!

I bought a BlackBerry 8320 yesterday, but I had to buy a battery and back cover (my friend's little sister had lost those 2 items). Anyways, I go to the T-Mobile place at the mall and I bought a battery. I go home and put it in my phone. A little red light would come on for a few seconds, and then go away. After that, if I press the power button, a battery will come on the screen with a lightning bolt through it? That's all it does. If you press the power button again, nothing will happen. You have to take out and reinsert the battery for it do it again. I've tried charging it with 2 different chargers (the wall charger and the USB one), but still no luck. What's going on with the phone? :(

How long have you charged it for? The battery may be bad. Take it back and exchange it.

It's been on the charger for more than 12 hours now. Also, if it matters, I don't have the backcover on (though I don't see why that should make a difference). Another thing, how are we supposed to know if the phone is charging or not?

The backcover doesn't matter. When the phone is on and charging, you'll see a lightning bolt next to the battery indicator at the top of the screen. However, it needs to be on first.

Well damn, I guess I'll go exchange the battery today after work. Thanks for the help!
