I have just upgraded from a blackberry 8700 to 8310 curve, I need to copy my contact in my 8700 address book to my sim card to enable me to transfer onto my new curve, please help

No need to copy to sim card (won't work anyway.)

Just make a backup of the old BB using Desktop Manager and restore the backup to the new BB. Or you can use the Switch Device Wizard.

You can also sync with Outlook if you use it. Just another option.
