Yes... after waiting a torturous 18 months, 3 malfunctioning phones and nearly threatening physical violence on a Verizon store info kiosk, I got a Verizon store rep to relent and let me swap my Moto Q (the 'Q' stands for Qrap!) with a BB 8330 under the promo price. I couldn't be happier. I originally opted for the Q over the 8800 World, b/c of the camera and well,... I was plain duped by the verizon sales guy. From day one I had an uneasy feeling with the Q. It started with the slow response of Windows Mobile, to the ridiculously long boot up/down time. By May, several buttons were fritzing out and I was still 6 months away from a trade up and on my 2nd phone. After just 3 hours of using my BB I know I made the ONLY choice aside switching to AT&T for an iPhone. This 8830 is a perfect companion.
That being said, I'm wondering what's the best browser to use with the Verizon 8330. I looked at Mini Opera 4 and it looks as though it's not supported. Any other options other than RIM's stock browser?
Note to North-American users
Opera Mini is available to all Sprint and Cingular customers. Availability for T-Mobile customers is dependent on the subscription plan. BREW-enabled phones, including Verizon, are currently not supported.
Opera Mini works fine for me, on my 8330 Curve. And allowed me to transfer my 300-400 or so list of favorites/bookmarks, after I downloaded Opera onto my HP laptop, which was kind of a neat new experience itself.
So I know they signed the paperwork in June (for Verizon to buy Alltel), and it will be January or so before Congress passes the approval regarding the anti-trust issues (I have buddies at Alltel and Verizon, here in my city, that keep me posted)---but my question is this : will my plan change, will my Opera Mini change, will my payments change?
I'm no business major, so I know my questions sound primitive---but I have received premium care, plans, prices, and always the latest model of phones available from Alltel for almost 8 years now. Kind of loyal. Well, really loyal.
Running Opera Mini on my 8330 works like a charm! Though the best thing you could do for your phone is upgrade to OS 4.5 (phone) and DM 4.5 as well. It makes your phone even better. View/Edit, Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents along with HTML EMAIL!

Thanks for all of the replies....
Opera is loaded and working great. Not sure if I have the 4.5 upgrade (just got the phone Monday and pushed the browser update). I haven't played with the RIM browser much, but I have to say Mini Opera is a great user experience!
How do I know if I have the current OS installed? And are there steps to download and install.
I hate to sound like a NOOB but I don't see a media card slot for the 8330. I wasn't sure if one could be installed but I don't see and card slot.
Thanks for the welcome.... I've been on standby for 32 hours and I still have 60% battery life. My Q would have been long dead by now... and that was with a $50 extended battery. I couldn't be happier!
