Default No longer see unread message count-need help recombining folders!

Please Login to Remove!

If anyone can help me with this problem, I would be SO grateful!

I tried to help my boyfriend by separating his SMS and email messages. (He used to receive them all in the Messages folder). I did this by going into options: SMS and Email inboxes: Separate.

He did not like it. I tried to reverse this, and now he no longer sees an unread message count. Furthermore, he has 2 email accounts. When a new message arrived, a symbol on the main menu would indicate whether it arrived to his personal or work email. (There are 2 separate folders on the main page). Now that does not happen.

How do I undo this problem? It is an ATT 8310.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would start with a battery pull. If that doesn't clear things up then try resending the service books. If that doesn't help then delete and set up the email accounts again.

Under Messages >Options there is an option to show unread message count. Make sure that's set to yes.
