Question Just got my Curve today - Accessing Internet?

Hey guys, please excuse the newbie questions - I just took delivery of my first BlackBerry today. It is an 8330 Curve that I'm using on Verizon Wireless.

I am using the following plan:

verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller?item=planFirst&action=viewPlanDetail&so rtOption=priceSort&catId=449&lid=//global//plans//voice+and+data+plans//blackberry

With 450 voice minutes.

I'm trying to check my MySpace from my BlackBerry, however when I click on the browser icon from the menu, it just brings me to my email setup page (which I've already set 3 emails up). In the handbook, it says to enter a URL simply hit the menu button then select "Go To" - however, when I try, there is no "Go To" in the menu!

Any ideas guys? Do I need the $29.99/month BroadbandAccess Connect feature to access MySpace from my BlackBerry? I don't plan on using the phone to tether my laptop.

Thanks in advance guys - I'm confused as hell!

You need a Blackberry data plan, the personal plan (BIS), not the corporate one (BES). A regular data plan will give you very limited Internet access and no email.

You can't have a bb on verizon with out a data plan. You need to make sure of what you have. I'm sure they added the most expensive plan if you were clueless on what you needed

from what i know you get 5 gigabyte cap (no one reaches that high) AND you get personal email IE Yahoo Gmail Hotmail

did you try opening the browser and then pushing the blackberry button to bring up the menu and scrolling all the way down and selecting close and let the browser close and reopen it and try it....hope this helps

Called today and changed plans - this has fixed my problem. The Verizon tech on the phone was extra helpful.
