how would i know if my curve is on mute? i dont see any icons that tells me im on mute does mute button work for mp3 players too?

While in a call if you hit the menue button and then hit mute, you should see a phone handset with a red "X" over the mouth piece.

I am on ATT using one of their themes and I can see where this could be a theme problem.
