Default USB Cable Question

Please Login to Remove!

Folks,

Sorry if this is a repeat question, I couldn't find anything on my search. I recently upgraded to an 8330 from Verizon. I was told on these forums that I could use my previous chargers to charge the device (I upgraded from at 8703e which was upgraded from a 7250).

Is the same true for the USB cables which connect to my computer? I thought that would be the case, but when I went to connect the 8330 to my laptop here at work (the USB cable that came with the 8330 is at home) it doesn't seem to recognize anything being attached. Do I need to purchase new USB cables? Or, do I have some other problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does you laptop have the Blackberry drivers installed. If not that is the problem. You might only need to install the desktop software.
