Default Forgive me I have 8320

Please Login to Remove!

Please forgive me I have a 8320 on t-mobile with version 4.2.2.180 (platform 2.5.0.36) If I download and install BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.75 what will it do for me or my phone? Will it run quicker, smoother or what? I know very little about my 8320 since I bought it. I'm starting to play around with it a little bit but it is my only phone and I sure can't mess it up it's my only communication device I have. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi

It will give you HTML email, Docs to go, a spell checker, video recording and may improve the browser a little.

I would suggest that if you are happy with your Blackberry at the moment spend a little more time getting used to it and upgrade when you feel ready and in need of the new features.

I haven't upgraded to 4.5 yet.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve 8320)

I agree with Foxglove.

AH! dont do the upgrade!!! OS: 8310 4.5.0.52 / 4.5.0.37 vodafone.de
I especially love this warning on the bottom:
*Note: During Beta testing of this OS on TMobile devices many sim cards were "fried" and had to be replaced and UMA didn't work. Load on TMo devices at your own risk.

That link takes you to the OS 4.5 for the CURVE 8310 not the 8320. Ofcourse that OS won't work for the 8320.

OS 4.5 for the Curve 8320 is out and I've been running it without issue as well as a number of other people.

Check out the stickies under the Curve forum and you will find OS 4.5 for the 8320.

@jimmywayne--this is the correct link to the OS you need for your 8320 model.

Media Card support of 8gb instead of 2gb (read this, didn't test it).
And from my experience: In V4.2 some mp4 files playback had bad synchronization of audio/video. Those files play fine in V4.5.
