Default Messages in two places, annoying. Any pros want to help?

Please Login to Remove!

1) I'll try to explain this the best I can. I have my personal e-mail set up on the phone. When an e-mail comes in it pops into the "messages icon" and "e-mail icon". If I delete it from the e-mail it remains in the messages...SO....I find that I have to delete from two places. Any way to keep e-mails only in the e-mail icon, and not being sent over to two places?

2) I don't like the text messaging on blackberry, you can't keep track of the conversation. Are there any free/easy downloads that assist with text messages (And also, can you keep them clear from your "message icon"?) I just hate how every message is in two places...

Thanks guys! Hopefully this makes sense.

I agree with number one.

Number two I disagree with it - it's easier than ever to keep track of the conversation IMO.

1.) My suggestion is to hide the Email-Icon and just use the message folder. The way a BB work is all messages are received in the "Master" Message folder. When you set up an email account it creates a "View" of the message folder and just displays messages associated with that email account. Just use the Master Message Folder. It is smart enough to reply using the email account that received it. To filter out the SMS Text messages go into the message folder and hit Menu>Options>General Options>SMS and Email Inboxes (SEPARATE).

2.) Search around there is a "Threaded SMS" Software that is being piloted.

Good Luck!

Thanks, that a great start. I'll have to check around on that texting software.

+1 that's exactly how I do it.
