Hmmmm... Don't know about the UK data plans, but with my BB data plan, the Maps app came free, and is free to use as well. I have found it extremely helpful in a number of different situations! Enjoy, and welcome!

Requires a BB data plan. You might get more info in the GPS section.

Its OK. Doesn't do voice commands, auto-reroute or traffic. I prefer GoogleMaps however.

Sorry, here is another newbie question.
Is BB Maps free, or does it charge as data charges when using to search around in BB maps?
Or, let's say for example i activate WiFi in an area that allows me to, using BB maps then should be free... right??
Im using an unlocked 8320 on Rogers in Canada.

I like Google Maps better. It's free to download but is a data intensive program so make sure you have an unlimited data plan.

I am not sure about the WiFi, but I do know it uses lots of data and you must have a BB data plan for it to work. Only the portion you are on is downloaded and other sections of the map is downloaded as you move (search).

And again, you might get better results looking and posing your questions in the GPS section.
