Did you delete the vendor.xml file?

What model curve and what OS version?

It would be nice if these type questions were posted in the thread OF that OS release.

Search your entire c: drive for "vendor.xml".

Often Desktop Manager will install a second copy somewhere in the system. Delete them all.

So now, unplug from the USB, Close Desktop Manager.

You might even want to reboot the BB and PC., but plus the BB back in to the USB, and open DM.

The upgrade window didn't launch automatically for me either.

I manually launched the loader.exe file (c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe) to get the upgrade going.

It might be a little easier to just open Desktop Manger and click on App Loader

If you have a new OS installed and you have deleted the vendor.xml file, and the Desktop Manager does not prompt you to upgrade when you plug the BB in, starting App Loader will force the DM to check for available software and it SHOULD ask you if you want to upgrade/downgrade, depending on the version it is.
