Exclamation Something very strange just happened...

Please Login to Remove!

So earlier today after scrolling through my address book, I decided to declutter it and delete names of people I have not spoken to in a very long time and would most likely not keep in touch with.

So i deleted one name.
A few minutes ago, that person called me. Not only did they call me, but their name showed up on the caller ID when they called! even after i deleted them from my address book earlier today!

But then I went back to my address book after the call to see if I just thought I deleted them, and didn't. But I definitely did, because their name was not there. It only appeared when they called and now it is on my call log.

The phone call was an out of the blue sort of "check up just to say hi" kinda call, and so I'm wondering...is their any way, my blackberry's info is somehow linked to someone elses?? Is that possible? This is all very strange...any logical explanations or is this some crazy voodoo crap?

I'm really weirded out. Someone please have an answer for me!

Chances are you had it programed in the address book the same way your caller id pops it up or it picked it up from your call log some how but no that is not a sign that your blackberry is linked with somone elses. I'm leaning more to your caller id.

I would bet it was stored on your sim card also and you only deleted it from your blackberry address book

I agree... When I was first learning BB stuff, I didn't realize that the sim card info was different than the actual address book.

I agree that it is possibly from the SIM address book. However, I too would be weirded out by the coincidence.
