I just finished reading this on the blackberryfaq forum. I guess I should have read this earlier, but I bought and have have been using a 6gb sd card in mine. Is that bad, ineffectual, or what?

It all depends on the operating system version you are running on the BlackBerry..

I don't really know. I've never tried a 6 Gb card. My guess is it would only recognize 4 Gb.

Apoplack, you should be able to get the device to register all 6GB. Check in options/media card and scroll down to the bottom of the display, the device will indicate the GB used and the free GB.

Incase you run into any trouble on the 6GB card, back up all data on your PC from the SD card, insert into the device, format it in the device and restore all data from the PC with a sync cable and you should be good.

Above presuming you have upgraded to the OS 4.5 version for your device..
