I got tired of waiting for the Bold to finally show up at Att, so I decided to play around with changing the trackball color on my curve. Everything went fine, except when I pushed the chrome ring back onto the phone, it somehow is not staying in there correctly and actually fell out a couple of nights ago! Luckily I had a broken curve that my Labrador got a hold of last year and used that ring... How many tabs are supposed to be there? I only have 3 tabs total (so 3 tabs on 4 "corners" if you will).

Am I missing one? What can I use to somehow "glue" the ring back into the phone? I want to be able to change the color at a later date so do not say superglue!

I am leaving for Europe tomorrow and am freaking out a bit!

There are 3 "sets" of tabs. There are two small tabs at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock on the plastic ring.

That's right. I have taken out many trackballs and all the rings are like that.

Yup JC is right on as usual. Just take your time lining it up ..... I found this a little tricky at first (big hands). All seemed lined up, but it wouldn't seat properly; be careful not to force it, they tend to be a bit fragile.

If you break them you can get replacements from Horizon Wireless. You get the entire trackball and the ring. They're not expensive.
