Help Please

I tried to upgrade my phone and a few minutes into it said an error had occured and my phone does not work now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It would help if we knew what the error was.

The phone does not work? How? Does it not turn on? Does it boot up to a white screen with an error on it, or to an hour glass spinning? We will need some more details to better assist you.

Always, first, remove the battery and reboot the device.

ok I did that and just resent the service books. How do I get this upgrade to dowload properly.

Options > About. What OS is currently loaded?

JEllis30 09-02-2008 10:35 AM

v4.3.0.124

Ok... and since you haven't said, what is the OS you want to load?

JEllis30 09-02-2008 10:46 AM

4.5.0.77

I assume you are aware that is not an officially released version. It is a beta OS.

If you did find that version, and downloaded it. You will need to install it on your PC. You will also need to install Desktop Manager if you have not already done so.

Once installed, you will need to remove the vendor.xml file.

Connect your device to your PC, start DM and it should prompt you to upgrade.

Good luck (y)

You have THE version for the 8330? Not for another model?

There shouldn't be any problem, where did and what error occurred? Is there anything else you can post , otherwise we're flying blind here and quite hard to assist you.
