Default Adding a Second Address Book

Please Login to Remove!

Anybody know how to add a second address book to the 8330? The default address book syncs with an enterprise server but I'd like to have a separate address book that doesn't sync. Any ideas?

I don't believe this is possible. The best you could do is mark your catagories and filter, but I don't think there is way to chose what syncs and what doesn't.

But maybe someone knows more on this topic than I.

I believe you can designate 2 categories of contacts. One personal and one business. You can also set it in the bb manager to only sync one "set" of contacts. I remember someone doing this as if you get over 500 contacts there can be performance decreases while syncing. Does that help?

I don't know if you can only sync to one category of contacts... I don't think so.

You can create all the categories you want in your Address Book.

This is a great forum, thanks for all the responses!
What I'm working with is a company server that contains about 4,500 contacts. These contacts, shared/viewable by all employees, sync back to the server. However, each user would like their own personal contacts on their BB, but don't want to share them with the rest of the company.
Scaevola, if I were to designated contacts based on category, as you recommend, how can I tell the BB not to sync personal contacts back to the server?
