That is a very debatable topic. IMHO, as long as the OS you are running does what you need/want it to do, then there is no real reason to upgrade to an "unofficial" or new version. If it ain't broke, there is no need to fix it.

I know many here will not agree with this, but it is my experienced opinion.

Read the latest OS thread for your device and decide for yourself. "Best" is always subjective and unless you provide your criteria a meaningful suggestion is impossible to make.
