Default new with BB 8310 curve need help

Can some one held me please. I want to disabled the password but 4.5 os not let me do it. Please help.
How can I get my 8310 read the Micro 4G SD card. How can I format the SD card using the BB 8310

1. The OS 4.5 is not what's preventing you from disabling the password. You have an IT policy on your device. Was this device given to you by your company?

2. Your 8310 will read the microSD card just by inserting the card. You may have IT policy blocking this feature as well.

3. You go to Options >Media Card. Hit the menu key and select "Format Card."

Can you provide a bit more info? If you are on a corporate BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server), you may not be able to disable the password due to an IT policy.

As for the sd card, should just be a matter plugging it in. Should be able to format it once it is recognized.

you might want to insert the card, then do a battery pull while the phone is on, let it reset and go from there. might solve the card recognition problem.

If you are on a corporate BES you cannot disable the IT policy. You are stuck with it as a corporate device.

I own the bb 8310 and used only for personal.

Ok...Do you already have OS 4.5 on the device? If so use Method 1 in this post:

If you don't have OS 4.5, I suggest upgrading to 4.5 and then going back to do Method 1.

Thank alot, but can you tell me how to run that software? run it from my desktop or using the DM, do I need to plug my bb to my computer?

Install JL_Cmder on your computer. Plug in your BB and then run JL_cmder and use the resettofactory command.
