Hi All,

I'm new to the BlackBerry realm and am really hoping someone can help or may have seen similar behavior.

I'm NOT using BES and bought a BB for personal use. I set up my Sprint BB Curve 8330 with my GMail and BlackBerry.net email accounts and started getting emails right away. Very cool. Now, I do need the calendar function so I installed the desktop software on my work PC and synced MS Outlooks calendar via the USB cable. I'm perfectly fine with this setup.

Here's where it gets very weird - all of a sudden, and completely randomly, my blackberry started "replying to all" to random calendar events. So, for instance, if I have a department meeting which was sent to a large outlook group I'll suddenly see that I've sent an email that "replied to all" to that meeting notice. Everyone at work (or at least everyone in that outlook group) got the email. This has happened more than once.

The only thing I can think of is a virus. I did download a couple of 3rd party games (i suspect dopewars).

Has ANYONE else seen this behavior??

There are no known viruses for the Blackberry. I don't know why it would reply to all. I do lots of calendar messages but not to large groups like that. It's probably by design.

I've discovered my blackberry doing random stuff from putting it in my pockets with the keyboard unlocked.

Are you intentionally replying and it automatically replies to all?

I wanted to bump this as I am having similar problems with my newly purchased Verizon 8330. To answer the above; my phone is locked and still sends off the e-mails.

If you are locking it and sure that no keys are being pressed then do a battery pull. If it continues you can try re-loading the OS but the majority of the time it is something fried on the phone either from a drop or being exposed to moisture.

The phone has been exposed to no moisture or dropped, and I'm hoping it isn't a manufacturer's defect...

Could it be related in any way to syncing the phone up via the software, or perhaps a third party app like google sync?

Blackberry is RANDOMLY sending emails (sounds like a virus?)
