Default Inconsistency amongst BB-s configured the same way on the same network - 09-05-2008, 08:58 AM

We have 12 Blackberry units at our office, all connected to the same BES and activated on the Rogers network with the same data plan.

4 of the BBs are supposedly identical Curve (8310) units (purchased at the same time). They all function correctly, messages and emails flow back and forth, Internet acces is fine.

They are all running the latest software 4.2.2.163

In the "Manage Connections" section under "Services Status" both Voice Services and BlackBerry Internet Service show 'Connection: Mobile Network' on all 4 units.

However, the third item, BlackBerry Enterprise Server shows 'Connection: Mobile Network' on 2 of the units and 'Connection: not connected' on the other 2.

Moving the SIM card between the units makes no difference, it is always the same 2 that shows 'not connected' .

Rogers tech support was no help in explaining the discrepancy, the answer we got was "as long it works, don't worry about it."

This just doesn't make any sense and I would like to have them to be consistent. Any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Frank

The latest OS is 4.5.0.55 found here:

Try upgrading them.

Could be a bug in 4.2.2.163...
