Did you get an SD card, or a MicroSD card? It needs to be a MicroSD card...

I hope it was a MicroSD card that he inserted into the phone. Otherwise it is hard to get the battery back in and still have it turn on afterwards.

Go to Options / Media Card, and it will show you if there is one connected, and the storage space

He edited the post. At first it didn't say that he inserted it in the phone.

Just be aware that a media card will not increase device memory. It's just storage space for space-hogging media files and whatever else you decide to store on it.

Sounds like you got the right thing.

Do you have it installed yet?

1. Turn off your BlackBerry smartphone.
2. Press the battery cover release button and slide off the battery cover.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Slide the media card holder door toward its hinges to unlock it.
5. Open the media card holder door.
6. Place the media card into the slots in the media card holder door so that the metal contacts on the media card align with the metal contacts on your BlackBerry smartphone when the media card holder door is closed.
7. Close the media card holder door.
8. Slide the media card holder door away from its hinges to lock it.

This is the first forum I have contributed to where they don't show when posts have been edited, or do they, and I am just not looking in the right place?

Make sure that you slide the card into the door and then shut it. Don't set the card in and then shut the door on the card. Does that make sense?
