Pardon me if this is a stupid question. I've been with TMO for 5+ years but rarely send or receive text messages. And I got my first BB (8320 Curve) just couple weeks ago.

For some reason I've been getting repeated text messages. When I started using BB, a bunch of text messages, some as old as 6 months ago, showed up on the same day. Last night I tried SIM card from my daughter's phone. After I put my card back, the same bunch of messages showed up again all with date mark of 9/4/2008, including the registration notice from BB.

Anyone know what's going on and if this is normal? How do I prevent it from happening again, even when I swap SIM cards?

Are they text messages or Emails? Do they all say the same thing (or close to it?)

The registration notice is normal. All the repeating text messages isn't. You might need to call TMobile on that one.

Text messages, not emails. The messages I received yesterday were all different from each other. But all of them (maybe except the BB registration) were the same messages that I received earlier.

I thought this is a BB thing, as I never had such problem in the past when I switched phones. But perhaps TMO screwed up in certain settings when they configured my account for BB. If this is the only solution, I'll talk to their CS about it.

Sounds like you are on the right path. It probably wasn't properly provisioned.
