Highlight a date in the message list. Click the Menu key (left of trackball) and select "Delete Prior."

You can also select multiple messages by using shift + roll trackball in the message list.

Works fine on my 8330 running 4.5.0.131

Have you tried removing the battery (while the device is powered on for 30 seconds) and then trying again.

That would make the option suddenly appear?

Which way are you having issues?

Are you selecting a date and pressing the menu key to get to delete prior? or are you having an issue with the highlighting multiple messages?

John Clark posted 2 suggestions and you said it's not working for you. That really isn't clear as to what your issue is.

If it is the first of the 2, make sure you have date selected. To be sure, press the letter T and it will take you to the top and then press the menu key. You should see the delete prior option there.

If not, a battery pull should fix it.

I'm looking at it right now. There is no date listed. I have calls going back to 2/27 with no separation. I know how to do the "delete prior" stuff for email, but I have no option for the call log.

Yes, I did pull the battery.

You're in the call log, not the SMS log. That's why...

Go to your messages and press Alt P. From there you should see your calls and be able to delete prior.

Perfect! Thanks man! Why can't I just do that from the "call log" option?

There's no date bar to do the delete prior. You can highlight the top one and hold the shift key and scroll to the bottom to delete them all that way.

The way I told you in the previous post is quicker IMO.
