Default 8310 - Gmail - BIS

Please Login to Remove!

Hiya,

Well after the last post I have now managed to get the BIS set up and active. I can get in and use the blackberry.orange email. However there were problems with the gmail account. It wouldn't let me in to amend it claiming the password was incorrect. It isn't as I logged in on gmail on the computer.

So I deleted the account thinking I might be able to recreate it. Seems this is a mistake as it is still not recognising it and now the icon etc is gone.

Has anyone else had this? is it a BIS problem (ie the network provider doing something)?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

I've deleted my Gmail account many times on BIS and recreated it with no problems.

The icon (I take is you mean on your Berry) will come back when you successfully create an account on BIS.

Assuming that there is no outage, just try again as it could be something as silly as a typo and I would suggest following this guideline for setting up Gmail on your Berry.

Thanks for the gmail link.

Unfortunately even with imap turned on the BIS doesn't want to know. Guess Orange messed it up... sigh.
Another 35mins on the phone I am not looking forward to.

Update:

I tried again today, but this time turned off the SSL on gmail first.

It worked and BIS tied itself up to gmail... amazing!

So either Orange fixed it or BIS doesn't like the SSL on gmail. Either way it appears to be there now, so I set up the filter to not send back from me ;)

Thanks for the links and assistance.
