hi,

i've got my manager's blackberry 8310 with me, he uses blackberry internet services to recieve his work email. The Carrier is T-Mobile UK. since yesterday he is not sending/recieving email on blackberry.

i configured yahoo email on his blackberry that one is fine.

so far i've tried following things but nothing worked out.

resending service books

deleting the email account on T-Mobile blackberry internet webstie and registering it again.

options/advance options/host routing table/register now. i've done the registeration here as well.


if anything else i can do please let me know as i need to solve this asap

i've got an email from donotrelpy that says,


this email account is not currently accessible by your blackberry device, so you may be experiencing a delay in email delivery. this issiue may be caused by a temporary problem with your email provider. blackberrry internet service will continue attempting to access this account

When you re-registered the device, was it successful? Have you contacted T-Mo to see if there is a problem on their end? Tried a hard reset? Pull the battery while the device is powered on. Have you searched the forums here for others that may have encountered similar issues and resolved them?

yes the registration is succeessfull and i got this message in my blackberry inbox

Ah ........ looks like it's time to get on the phone with T-Mo to get some answers. You may not be able to fix it yourself, but at least you'll be able to inform your manager what the issue is. I am sure he will appreciate your effort.

i've just spoken to t-mobile support and they asked me to do exactly the same thing i've done already. still no luck.

Have you tried the 'Hard Reset" I mentioned? It fixes a lot of strange little things; give it a hook if you haven't tried it.

Also, how much memory is available on the device? Low memory is a cause of many weird issues as well.

Any idea what your manager was doing just before email stopped? Did he/she load any new apps? Change a setting? Delete an app?

HOW CAN I CHECK AND CLEAR THE MEMORY?

i've no idea what he was doing with the blackberry, all he said was that it was fine unitll he realised he's not recieving emails

do you have it set for pop3 or imap on gmail? i've been having problems setting it up with pop. try this the set-up:

but, there may be a problem with imap retrieval with larger e-mails.
