Default Removed PIN From Used 8330?

Please Login to Remove!

A friend gave me her used 8330, because she's switched carriers and phones. She no longer rememebers her BIS username/password, so how can I get her PIN no longer associated with this phone and use it myself? Help

Wirelessly posted (off to see the wizard)

You will need to contact the service provider

Isn't the PIN locked to each device? I don't think you can remove a PIN from a device. You can break the email association with a certain PIN but you can't change the PIN on a BB.

They aren't asking to change the pin.

They want to disassociate the BB (pin) from the existing BIS account so they can use it.

I believe she would have to remove her PIN and ESN from her BIS account which would allow you to use the device with your BIS account.

The previous owner needs to call the carrier and cancel their BIS account. That will release the PIN and IMEI so you can set up your BIS account once the device is properly provisioned by the carrier.
