Default Can't receive MMS

Please Login to Remove!

Since upgrading to 4.5 I haven't been able to receive MMS. Every time I receive something it says:
'Could not retrieve message content. Try again later'.

Menu Key>Retrieve Now just repeats this process ad naseum.
I'm relatively new to BB so I'm not sure where to start on correcting this problem, and yes, I could receive pictures prior to the upgrade to 4.5 OS.

are you sure alltel supports MMS for BBs? check to see if your service book is there...

options> advance options> service books> and look for one that says MMS in it

if there isnt one try having your service books resent

options> advance options> host routing table> menu button> register now

Alltel supports MMS on the Curve, as I said earlier, I could receive MMS prior to the upgrade.

There are 2 MMS Service books. MMS Client and MMS Transport. MMS Client has Gateway IP information, however if I view the MMS Transport book, the Gateway IP address there is //0.0.0.0:0;0/|GPAK

k well do the second thing i mentioned... if that doesnt work... call alltel from another phone, with your BB in hand, tell them you need them to resend your service books/provision your device again for you...

that should do the trick...

It's something in the 4.5 OS.
I called Alltel and played dumb and he tried to get it to work from his end, no dice.
I reverted back to 4.3 and all works well. Guess I'll have to wait for Alltel to release 4.5

This is a somewhat rare but known problem on Alltel and, unfortunately, I'm having it too. You can send pic and audio messages but can receive nothing. I downgraded to .66 and all of a sudden my MMS receiving was working again! For about an hour. Now I'm back to no incoming MMS status once again.

I wouldn't hold my breath for Alltel releasing 4.5 because I bet it's gonna take a while for them to get this figured out. I know some "people in the know" at Alltel tech support and they're baffled by this. I've heard that an informal check finds that only about 2 out of every 10 Alltel Curves are having this problem when upgraded to 4.5.
