The GPS works great out of the box and after a clean phone wipe. It refreshes immediately (at my computer desk by a large window), and works great with google maps, but the GPS stops working after I install other applications.

For 2 weeks I have messed around with it. The most recent episode is this morning. Wiped the phone, installed google maps, check and check...GPS working...installed BeejiveIM...GPS stopped working. I uninstalled BeejiveIM and the GPS doesn't work. I wiped the phone, GPS working, google maps installed and that is where I am at now. I thought maybe permissions were getting funked up after installs. I dug through permissions disabling and enabling things, but no luck. I have upgraded and downgraded the phones software several times...currently running 4.5.0.10.

The same thing happens with programs (Garmin, Facebook, weather plugin, etc) other than BeejiveIM.

Any ideas?

i had the same ploblem with my gps on my 8310 curve. telenav doesnot support os 4.5 until at&t releases it on sept 23rd. so we will have to wait.
