Default Just got my Curve....Have a question

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

I just got my Curve today....
It's alot of info to take in. I like it alot, but I have one thing that I can't figure out. How do I transfer my PIM contacts list from my sanyo 8400 to the BB. I tried bluetoothing it, but it won't let me cause the ftp service is not available on the BB(not sure why). Then I tried the desktop manager, but it only allows other pda or smartphone devices. I don't want to travel to the sprint store. Any suggestions.....other than manually?

Welcome to the forums! Install the disk that came with you phone and use the switch device wizard. Desktop Manager rocks!

Trip to the Sprint store and the Cellbrite machine is your only option.

Can the Sanyo 8400 sync with a program like Outlook? If so, use Outlook as the intermediary if necessary. That is what I did with the wife's Nokia when she aquired my Pearl.

Welcome to BB forums, Curve is great. Hope you get your contact list worked out soon, I took the manual route.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I took the manual route. Two more questions....Is it possible to change the trackball color on the curve like you can with the pearl? And, are their any good and free third party apps out there for picture and video mms? Sprint told me today that their might be but otherwise I could only send pics and vid through an email......any suggestions>>>

Wirelessly posted

The Curve does not have colored LEDs under the trackball like the Pearl does. You could color it with a Sharpie or with colored film under the trackball.

Sprint does not currently support MMS on the Curve. You have to use email.
