ive had my curve for over a year now, and have not had any major problems. however,starting this morning, my curve has been stuck on the start up screen (the white screen with the hourglass). it will load for about a minute - flash the AT&T screen, and then shut off. It then restarts the cycle with the loading screen. Ive had it running like this all morning. Any suggestions on what i can do or is it time for a new phone?

Ouch - I hope you have a recent backup of your data, because it looks like you will need to reload the handheld OS onto the 8300.
