Default google sync - 09-17-2008, 04:20 PM

ok ive been trying to put holidays on my BB since i got it. i tried outlook. i have outlook 2002. dates available are 2001-2005. tried the download from MS to get current dates, when i run it, it says cannot find something or another.

so i went to google calendar in order to bypass outlook. downloaded google sync. google calendar will sync any regular appts. i give it. but it wont bring over the holidays. i read somewhere that secondary calendars wont sync. is this true? or what the heck am i doing wrong?

ok just found out if i change the all holiday dates, in outlook, to 2008, it will sync up just fine. problem is holiday dates change.

but can be done manually worst case scenario.

would like to get google maps to work to save me all the time on doing that. just tried google sync again. it says sync'd just fine. but holidays still not coming over.

If you have the holidays listed on your Google Calendar, then you should be able to sync them with your BB. Just open Google Sync on your BB, press the BB button, then select Options, then click on whatever appears under "Sync these Calendars". On the following screen you should be able to select or deselect any calendars that appear in your Google Calendar web interface.

What version of Google Sync are you using? I started with 0.4.4 and had some problems. Once 0.4.6 was released I deleted 0.4.4, cleared all events from my BB calendar, installed 0.4.6 and haven't had any problems since.

Well... there is one problem I'm having involving recurring events created on the BB, that start in Daylight Savings Time and end in Standard Time. But I posted that in another forum and am working around it in the meantime.
