Default 4G MicroSDHC

Please Login to Remove!

I purchased a new Sandisk 4G MicroSDHC card on ebay. I put it in my blackberry correctly and then went to media card options. It is not recognizing the card, so i tried to format it, it always fails. So i tried putting the card in the adapter and putting it my computer and that doesnt even accknowledge that theres a card in.

Thanks

Welcome to the BBForums.

Sandisk are pretty reliable, otherwise. I would return it to your seller and get your $$ back if nothing works. You have done all I would do, same recommendations.

Good luck.

I agree with JSanders. I would try to return the card and get your money back. Personally, I tend to stick to reputable sites when buying memory cards. Maybe it is just me being paranoid.

Take a look at this link and see if you can determine if the card you received is indeed a fake

I stopped purchasing flash memory from eBay for that very reason after getting 2 fake types of Memory Sticks for my PSP. In short, too many fakes on the market. Transfer speeds are not up to specs or actual volume of memory was not what it was supposed to be. I switched to newegg and have had 0 probs. so far. I'd ask for my money back if I were you.

If it were the real deal you'd likely have no problems. I say likely because, as with all electronic products, there's the odd chance of you getting a bad unit.

If you are using a built-in reader on a computer more than a couple of years old, there's a good chance it will not recognize the media. I have this problem with the higher-capacity SDHC cards (as well as standard SD cards 2Gb and over). When I use a USB reader, the cards are seen just fine.
