I have a new T Mobile 8320 that is having some issues. For some reason my dimension today theme is not updating the calender section as new appointments get added or deleted unless the device gets restarted. It is also, several times a day, shutting down and restarting on it's own. I am on my second phone in 2 weeks and it is doing the same thing. On the first one I put my Suncom Sim in to transfer all addresses from my old phone. When I returned the first phone, all info was backed up, then installed on the new phone. I am wondering if transfering info from the Suncom card could have caused the issue. Is anyone else having these problems? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am going to bring back this phone, but, I'm affraid this will happen again.

I doubt it. Here's what to do... Get the desktop manager and the newest os ontop of the parent forum to this post. Male sure you get the EXACT model number (8320) to download. It doesn't matter the carrier. Install that. Then, throw your suncom in and using dtm, backup the addresses you need. Then, navigate to c:\program files\common files\research in motion. Find the vendor.xml file and delete it.


Plug in your berry to the desktop manager after yoù install the update. It will prompt for an application update to 4.5. Follow that update. Then, once its done, resync the ontacts using dtm to where you backed them up. This should work

Then, upgrade the OS if you feel you need to do so.

Unfortunately, I had already trie the first suggestion several days ago with no luck. I'm going to try the second suggestion next. No I'm dealing with th BB completely shutting down on a regular basis by itself. Pretty frustrating.
