Question OS Upgrade questions...

Please Login to Remove!

New 8310 owner, unlocked AT&T unit on T-Mobile. OS 4.2.2.170.

Concerning the OS sticky in this forum:

1. Is it 'stock' or otherwise non carrier-specific? e.g., no goofy AT&T or T-Mobile icons.
2. Will an OS upgrade get rid of all the AT&T related icons/etc?

Thanks!

No, you will still get whatever your carrier sends out. The OS doesn't contain that stuff. Your BB is carrier specific, not the OS.

Thanks!

If I get whatever T-Mobile is sending why would I still have "AT&T Mail" and "AT&T Music" icons on the home screen? Granted I do have a new "t-zones" icon since I unlocked it.

Delete the service books for those. If you're on TMobile, they won't come back.
