Default Need Screen protector in Triad area NC

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone know if there are local stores to buy a good screen protector specifically for 8330 (not a generic one you have to cut) ? Looked at Best Buy..had to buy a 3 pack of one for pearl, one for curve and one for 8830...don't need the other 2.

We live in the Triad Area. Tried Kiosks at Mall and all they had was those generic ones you have to cut.

We got my daughters other one at kiosk in Myrtle Beach, SC and the guy even put it on for her but she had to get a replacement phone and that one would not adhere to replacement phone. So she has to have a new one. We gave about $12 for that one and it was very durable but you could hardly tell it was on there. I would love to find one without having to order one. And I want one that is just peel the back off, put it on the screen. I don't want one we have to use water, etc.

Anyone live in this area and found a place that has screen protectors??

Why not just order one from Best Skins Ever? You will get it in a couple of days.

Ok, are they pretty easy to put on and are they specific for each device?

Just go to bestskinsever.com or is there a better place to get them?

How expensive are these?

Thanks, I was just trying to get one here so we could get device protected Now!

Default Cover

Bought an Otter Box cover for my curve when I purchased it a month ago. Works great. I see they are for sale on the internet too. Just google it.

Is Otter Box a screen protector or case? She has a BB skin so she just needs screen protector.

It's both. Screen & keys cover as well as a solid plastic case & holster. Pretty sturdy as I have been kinda hard on any other cell I have had.

Thanks. She looked at those type cases and did not like them previously. She likes the skin with screen protector, as do I.

I may just call the place we got her other protector and order one from the guy. I remember that he said he would be glad to ship for free and she does want a green skin which he had and we have not found anywhere else.

Just thought if I could find it locally it would save time but oh well.

I saw something for boxwave.com screen protectors. This actually looks very much like hers. We do not know brand name because the guy we bought it from just put it on for her, so we did not have a container to get a brand name from.

Anyone tried these. They look pretty good and say they are washable. If anyone has tried these, do they wash and go back on well? When you wash, how do you get it dry without dust on it? Sorry I know that may sound dumb but I know you cannot wipe water off without lint getting on it. And if you get fingerprint on it, will it come off with just water??

The one we have now is not thin like a lot of them I have seen before. It is substantial and not flimsy.

I would get either Invisible Shield or Best Skin Ever, I put an Invisible Shield on everything my daughter owns and it has really helped a lot.

Don't you have to put the Invisible Shield on with water or some special liquid adhesive? I saw on the package that some solution was included with it. So how hard are they to put on. We need something fairly easy and foolproof. And we want something just for her screen. ARen't Invisible Shields for the whole thing?

With the Best Skins Ever skins, you make a solution out of water and a drop of liquid soap. Then you dip your fingers and then the skin into the solution and then let MOST of it drip off. There's not much water. Then you put it on the device. And squeege it down. And leave the phone turned off until it it dry. It's actually pretty easy. Just follow the instructions on the website.

I have been using bestskins for a long time now, and I must say IMO, they are the best. Very durable and have had no issues with them whatsoever.

Well I would like to find her something where she does not have to leave her phone off for 24 hrs as her boyfriend is in the military and the cell is the only way for them to stay in touch.

Do you have to leave the phone off for 24 hrs with both Invisible Shield and BSE? The IS pack that is just the screen protector at Best Buy did not mention having to leave the phone off for 24 hrs...oversight on their part?

I have also seen good reviews on the Boxwave product, anyone have any comments on them or getting ones on Ebay? We just need something ASAP as the one that comes on the phone is not going to last long.

Honestly, they are trying to cover every aspect of water damage to your phone by saying leave it off for 24 hours. I don't think I have even left it off for an hour when I applied mine. I have done 2 curves and 2 pearls and have never had any issues. I usually make sure there is minimal water on the protector before applying it, and I use a towel to blot dry the screen as squeegee it. It also took about 3 days to get them in the mail.

Well we can buy a 3 pk of IS at Best Buy. However, it has one for Pearl, one for Curve and one for 8830 and we don't need the one for a Pearl but may buy this pk so I can go ahead and get one on her phone. I have an 8830 and it has a screen protector but this would give me a spare.

And since this is just the screen protector, thought it may not require the down time as it would for whole body.

They will work, although I have never used them. The only drawback is the price. $20 for 3, and actually only 1 for that specific phone vice $7 for the full body skin or $6 for a screen 2 pack from BSE. Short term I think it will serve its purpose however, in the long run I think she would be happier with the BSE. Also, these skins are applied the same way as the BSE ones. Again, this is only my opinion.
