Default External Antenna

Please Login to Remove!

I have a verizon Blackberry Curve and it has an external antenna port (under the battery cover) but I can't find an adaptor to connect it to my wilson amp and my yagi antenna. Wilson makes a cradle for the Curve which they describe as a passive antenna. Has anyone used this cradle and how good does it work. Or does anyone know of an adaptor available. I could drill a hole in the battey case cover to connect the adaptor. Thanks

I don't know much about external antennae, but drilling a hole in your battery cover to expose the connector should not be a problem. I have the Seido extended (oversized) battery in my 8310, and the battery cover that came with it has that hole in the cover to expose the antenna connector... and I have not had any issues with the extra hole in the battery cover.

Do external antennae work? My office and sales area are in the mountains, so there are alot of places that cell signal is weak. If they work an antennae would be a nice addition for sure!!

You should get the new Verizon hub. Creates a 5000sq ft area of coverage using your broadband connection.

I looked at the hub. It would be great for the office ( I don't see these ppl buying it tho). On the road in my territory tho.....
