Default Really struggling Need support

Please Login to Remove!

My colleague has recently purchased a Curve. Where on earth do you find support for these things? Is there a real actualu person on the other end of a telephone I can talk to?

Failing which we cannot install the user tools : Error 1327 InvalidF:\

I have tried downloading v4.6 from the net but:

Not a valid Win32 Application!

OS on the laptop is XP Pro.

Any suggestions?

Check: Error 1327: Invalid Drive E:\ - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

Also:
Others can confirm, but is 4.6 (at least at this point) intended to be run on the Curve? I thought it might be a Bold-only release.

And, with respect to support:
Here in the US, I've always gotten stellar support from T-Mobile, who when necessary, has gotten a RIM rep to either get on the call, or call me back. But, they'll only support an OS that they (the carrier) has officially released.

EDIT: I confused 4.6 with the handset software. Yes, 4.6 Desktop software can be loaded with no problem as JSanders mentioned. Still, the above mentioned link might help you.

Welcome to the BBForums.

Your carrier offers the first line of support, you may need to call them; however, you will likely get more competent help here.

Are you trying to install Desktop Manager? Version 4.6 is normally a good install on WinXP, I would suggest that you attempt a new download, first. Get the version withOUT the Media Manager software.

The Desktop Manager is not the device, by the PC. Its works well using a Curve.

Your 4.6 perhaps you are speaking of is the Bold OS?

Yes. I just edited my post. The error is probably a result of trying to install the 4.6 DM software, and yeah, I was initially thinking he was trying to go for 4.6 device software on the Curve. I need more coffee. Sorry.
