Default 8310 Setup

Please Login to Remove!

When I first got my BB AT&T 8310, I somehow navigated to a screen where I could change various settings such as Ring/Vibrate in Holster, Select a ringtone, and adjust or select different settings all on one screen.

I have tried numerous times to locate that screen again. I have gone to Phone, general setup, and can not find the screen.

Another issue, In the profiles menu, if I set the profile to Loud (Active), instead of ringing, the phone vibrates. I can select Normal (Active) and the phone rings. How can I correct this issue.

Also, is there a detailed online manual for the phone? The AT&T shipping manual is skimp to say the least, and the built in Help Menu in the BB is difficult to navigate.

Any help on these issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ed

Go into the Profiles (where you were) and go to Advanced. You can change the specific profiles from there.

Good luck welcome to BB Forums!

I have been there before, and that is not the screen I was looking for. In the above screen, my options are to select either Loud, Vibrate, Quite, Normal, Phone only, or Off as (Active). In addition I can select under "Use Active Profile Except For:" either Important calls or calls from my wife's cell phone.

Thanks

Now choose a profile and then click the menu button to 'Edit' it.

thats the screen you are looking for. once in profile you have to select advanced, then scroll over the profile you want to edit, hit the menu button and choose edit, then you can edit what it does for each individual alert for that profile (i.e. phone, sms, calendar, etc.)

Did you bring up the menu and attempt to edit any of the listed profiles on the screen?

Thanks for the information. What I wasn't doing in the Profile/Advanced Setup was selecting Menu. At your suggestion, I did just that and found the screen I have been trying to locate.

Again, Thanks.
