Default Help with password settings

Please Login to Remove!

I have a blackberry 8310 which used to be on a corporate network. It is no longer connected to the corporate network and my details have been erased from the corporate Blackberry server but I am unable to either disable the password requirement or change the time after the screen locks. It is currently set to 2 minutes. i have wiped the device of all information a number of times. I have entered a special code received from Blackberry - however, I still cannot remove the password requirement. Vodafone corporate say they can help no further and it is probably a software issue....Does anyone have an idea as to how I can remove these settings and remove the need for a password or change the amount of time before the screen locks please??
