Default Seperating Texts from Email how?

Please Login to Remove!

Well I did a search and did the sperate thing for the both folders I got, and if I get a email or text they still show up in both folders. So am I missing anything else?

I went into both folders and it says - Seperate.

What theme are you using? The separation can also be theme driven.

Well it sounds like you did the right thing:

Main message folder > options > general options > scroll down > Separate Email and SMS = Yes. and Save.

Make sure you save.

If you need, remove the battery and reboot and see if it works.

Which folders is the email showing in? Are you confusing the MESSAGES folder and the [email address] email inbox? If that is the case, that's how it works - one message in the [email address] email inbox and a pointer to that message from the MESSAGES folder. There's no way around that, except to hide one of the folders.

The SEPARATE option separates SMS/MMS messages from the EMAIL MESSAGES by creating another icon for SMS/MMS and putting those TEXT messages there.

Juwaack: the option can be theme controlled, but you can override that setting by selecting the value for the SMS and Email Inboxes: option in MESSAGES/OPTIONS/GENERAL OPTIONS.

You should have a main message folder, a folder for a specific email address and if separated a folder for SMS messages.

Yes I got a ........

Message icon were my Texts messages should go.

I got a letter icon with a globe on the bottom and when I highlight it it displays my home email address, which is were I would like JUST my emails to go.

Then I have a SMS and a MMS icon where both emails and texts go, which is the one you have listed above.

A bit off topic but if you hold the ALT key and then the menu key you can move your icons. When you said your main mail icon was on the bottom that can be a bit of a pain.

It sounds like your close to getting this resolved with everyones help here...

If you followed the directions you should have an SMS icon and a main mailbox icon. (separate the SMS and inbox in the "INBOX / OPTIONS / GENERAL OPTIONS / SMS and Email Inboxes - Separate" settings)
If you send a page or text to the BB, it should go to the SMS icon inbox and not the main mailbox...
Is this how it is working for you?

H.

Your ontrack... SMS and MMS is the same folder...

Is this what you have (the SMS icon is in the yellow circle)

The main mail icon is the upper left.

Yes I have that one...

The globe letter icon for the email.

The regular letter icon for the texts.

Sorry I stepped away from it a bit, ok my text messages are just going into the SMS folder and NOT the MMS.

For the heck of it I tried the Theme controlled setting in the options it restarted and it still sends emails to the MMS and SMS.
