Default Web Browser Icon Vanished

Please Login to Remove!

Dang.. I just got my new 8330 and took it home and began playing with it, then went to go on the internet and I see that there is no web browser; it was there in the store!

I do not have it hidden (nothing hidden yet). Why would it vanish like that?

Also (different problem) there is a "1" message showing icon and I can't find a message in the email.. how do I get rid of that?

I am not sure what your knowledge is of your device, so I attached the link on how to resend your service books.

Go to options> advanced options> host routing table> and click the menu key and register now. You should get an email confirming this.

That did it. Thank you so much; the browser and a few other apps icons appeared just after doing that; an email came as you said.

Now, how do I get rid of the "1" by the tiny gold icon? There are no messages that I can see to delete.

Can you specifically describe the icon? It may not even be a message icon.

I had that happen yesterday with that annoying "1" message. Just do a battery pull and you should be okay.

Thanx for the reminder.

Man I'm so happy with this 8330 Curve! I upgraded from my 8130 Pearl; the pearl was ok, but when I found out that this one would fit in my watch pocket, it was a done deal.

This keyboard! Yeah!! And the camera seems to produce crispier photos.

I had this same issue happen to me also except it took three calls to Verizon tech support and one hard reset (which I didn't need to do btw) to fix the problem.

The last guy I talked to finally found something he said was a "glitch" that happened when all the different computers talk back and forth to each other and something "supposedly" got my data turned off.

But after all that whatever it was he did got all my icons back and my data connection back also.

Glad to see it wasn't me just getting a bum phone or having a crummy carrier but it seems like a bug that can happen at times, unfortunatly.

cheers
