Default Choosing start-up applications

Please Login to Remove!

I was wandering if there's a way to choose which application should automatically be loaded by the phone at start-up? In particular I would like to get rid of the PTT.

I love the Search feature on this forum.

Searched on "Remove PTT" and found everything you'd need to know contained in this thread - http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ee-memory.html - it's all in there, along with a bunch of other memory optimization hints.

I some quick HW and found a way to get rid of PTT by using Javaloader. I would go the route described in the link but I just updated the OS last night and don't wanna do it over again just to remove a stupid software.

Here's a link with the procedure I'm talking about.

Anything I should know about this method compared to the other? Thanks

I dunno what Pete6 is smoking but either method works and neither approach is anything like an OS load. App Loader can remove the files without performing a device wipe and OS load.

Ok, I'll give it a try tonight.

Just to make sure: by "App Loader" you mean the function in DM, right?

I went DM -> Application Loader but PTT was not in the list f apps. Same things when I checked under Options -> Advanced Options -> Applications on the BB: PTT is not in the list of apps.

Sure enough the procedure by Pete6 worked like a champ!!!
